Thats a good question! The Hive was born out nessecity. I found myself in one of the most spectacular areas of Canada. Surrounded by ocean, mountains, forests, snow, rock and filled with fantastic people connected by a simmering energy of excitment, I needed to find a way to live and work in the center of it. This all mixed with my love of all things original, stylish and off-beat... and suddenly The Hive Home & Gift was born.

I set up shop on the happenin' end of Cleveland Ave in Squamish, BC. The doors opened on February 1st, 2006, not knowing what to expect... I soon learned that The Hive was just what the people of Squamish and surrounding areas were looking for. I was greeted by all kinds of people who just as excited to walk into the store as I was to open the doors!

I love finding neat things that people are able to enjoy in their homes, or enjoy giving to that special person.
